Mrs. Mary Weber
Teacher
I began my career as a Special Education teacher at Mokena Junior High. After earning my degree in reading, I accepted a position teaching as a Reading Specialist at Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in Blue Island. I developed a passion for teaching reading skills and strategies to adolescents, but also discovered that I missed the opportunity to reach students at an earlier age and in small group settings. This allowed me to be more creative and more involved in each student's learning process. This is why I was so excited to get the opportunity go back to special education and join the Prairie View staff as an 8th grade Special Education teacher!
