D140 fourth and fifth-grade athletes hit the track for an afternoon of friendly competition at the District's annual track meet on Wednesday, May 15, at Andrew High School.
Students participated in several traditional track and field events, including the softball throw, long jump, 400m, 200m, 100m, 60m, 4X100m, and individual and relay events. The full 1/4-mile track with lane markings, starter pistol starts, timing, and cheering crowds enhanced the elementary track experience.
