KSD 140 welcomes Dr. Meghan M. Maurer to its Central Office Administrative team as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction. Dr. Maurer will lead the district’s planning, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and instruction, federal programs, assessment, and evaluation services.
“This is an exciting new opportunity, and I am eager to get started,” stated Dr. Maurer. “I have spent half of my life in Kirby School District 140. This community and the people here are family. We have an amazing district and a great team. I look forward to working together with all community stakeholders to continue moving our district forward.”
Dr. Maurer holds a Doctorate of Educational Leadership degree from the University of St. Francis, two master's degrees in Reading Education and School Administration from Governors State University, and a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University. She has been with the district for 24 years and was most recently the principal of Prairie View Middle School. She was also the assistant principal of Grissom Middle School and a teacher at Kirby and Millennium Elementary Schools and Grissom Middle School.
