In the annual food drive challenge between District 140's two middle schools, the Patriots edged out the Eagles in their week-long collection of non-perishable food items for Together We Cope. The students' combined efforts netted a total of 1,163.5 pounds of canned and boxed items, with Grissom students contributing 599.5 pounds and Prairie View students bringing in 564 pounds.

"Both Middle Schools have stepped forward to help give back to their community, and all Student Council members have shown dedication," said Grissom Student Council Sponsors Mrs. Hannepel and Ms. Kujawa. "We'd like to thank the entire community for their support."

Donations were sent to Together We Cope, which serves Tinley Park, Orland Hills, and other South Suburban residents. Together We Cope is in need of donations and volunteers at this time to continue their efforts.
