Dear 8th Grade Families:
While we know this is not how any of us expected to celebrate our Class of 2020, we do want to recognize and honor this milestone in a special way. In lieu of an in-person graduation ceremony, our plan is to have Prairie View staff personally deliver your students’ diplomas to your homes on June 2nd, beginning at 5 pm. Staff will be traveling to your homes on a KSD140 school bus decked out in PV colors. Staff will also deliver any award that your student is receiving and a surprise graduation gift from the PTO. If your student would like, they can take a picture with the staff who deliver their swag bag of items while following social distancing protocol. We’d love to see the graduates in their caps and gowns.
Graduates will also receive a video where the 8th-grade team leaders, Mrs. Purk and Mr. Nichols, will announce the students’ names while their graduation pictures are displayed. Well-wishes and congratulatory messages from Prairie View staff are also included in the video. A link to this video will be sent out to families on Tuesday, June 2nd.
We are so proud of all the hard work and dedication the 8th graders have displayed this year both here at school and at home during the 4th quarter.
Best Wishes Prairie View Class of 2020!
