On Friday, March 20, Governor Pritzker issued an executive order requiring residents to “stay at home” effective from 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 21 through Tuesday, April 7. In light of this announcement, all District 140 buildings and grounds will remain closed. I encourage you to comply with the Governor’s order and spend time at home with your families.
Spring Break is March 23 through March 27. During this time, District administrators and staff will be reassessing our resources and options for providing additional learning opportunities for our students. We are asking for your patience and flexibility as our program continues to evolve. We will share more information as soon as it is available.
During the week of March 30 through April 3, students should continue eLearning at home. Please watch for our Week 2 eLearning packets to be posted online at ksd140.org/elearning. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at eLearning@ksd140.org with any questions.
These are unprecedented times and the D140 community has responded with patience and flexibility. Thank you for your support. As this situation evolves, we will continue to communicate in a timely and transparent manner. We will get through this together.
Sincerely,
Dr. Shawn M. Olson
Superintendent
