On Wednesday, December 5th, students in Ms. Greenfield’s class were offered a first-hand glimpse into airport operations at Midway Airport. Southwest Airlines staff provided our students with a VIP tour of the airport, gave them a behind-the-scenes look into the pilots’ lounge, introduced them to several pilots, and even allowed them to board a plane.
Our thanks to Southwest Airlines for providing us with a hands-on lesson about transportation, the role an airport plays in our community and careers in aviation.
