D140’s Cadet Band members made their debut performance on Wednesday, October 16, at Grissom Middle School. The young musicians impressed the audience with their precision in both full ensemble pieces and instrument section features. The band's favorite selection was "A Freaky Fantasy" by Mike Hannickel because it featured ghostly sounds and a variety of percussion. The concert concluded with the 1963 "Wipe Out" hit by the Surfaris.
