KSD 140 MS Students Participate in Project RIDE 2019

5 tinley park police officers

As part of Project RIDE (Reinforcement in Drug Education), seventh grade students in KSD 140 recently met with representatives from the Tinley Park Police Department. The purpose of Project RIDE is to raise awareness and provide education on several important topics, including Internet Safety, Decision Making, Vaping, and Peer Jury.

Research strongly supports the view that relevant and ongoing drug education programs in schools delivered by teachers and supported by agencies, resources and the local community are most effective. Working together with parents and the broader community, KSD 140's Project RIDE program promotes the development of active and responsible decision-making skills among young people.
