District 140 Middle Schools Compete in Annual Food Drive Challenge - February 20, 2018

And the winner is ... Grissom Middle School!

In the annual food drive challenge between District 140’s two middle schools, the Patriots edged out the Eagles in their week-long collection of non-perishable food items for the Tinley Park Food Pantry.  The students combined efforts netted a total of 704 pounds of canned and boxed items, with Grissom students contributing 551 pounds and Prairie View students bringing in 153 pounds.

“We have a wonderful group of motivated and caring students in our District,” said Grissom Student Council Sponsor Mrs. Kimberly Prieto. “We’d like to thank the entire community for their support.”

Donations were sent to the Tinley Park Food Pantry which serves residents of Tinley Park and Orland Hills. The Pantry is in need of donations at this time to continue their efforts
