To help our neighbors stay warm this winter, Student Council members invited the Keller community to donate mittens, hats, gloves, and scarves for Together We Cope.

Just a reminder ... Friday, December 21st is a Half-Day. Elementary schools will be dismissed at 11:10 am and middle schools will be dismissed at 12 noon.

Happy Thanksgiving! With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the staff, parents, and community members who enthusiastically contribute so much to our District.

All seven D140 Student Councils will be selling 1-inch KEA Scholarship Sunshine Pins for $3 each in honor and remembrance of beloved Grissom teacher Ms. Abby Ohl. SALE DATES: Dec. 3 - 7 - Students may purchase pins during lunch / Dec. 17 - Community may purchase pins from 5-7 pm in the Grissom commons.

A BIG THANKS to the Keller Community for their overwhelming response to our annual Student Council Bag-a-Meal Food Drive.

The KSD 140 School Board announced this evening that they have selected veteran educator Dr. Shawn Olson as the next Superintendent.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled in all KSD 140 elementary and middle schools on Monday, November 19th from 1-8 p.m. and Tuesday, November 20th from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Directed by Ms. Larena Code, the Keller Elementary Chorus performed a pregame medley of patriotic songs at a Chicago Wolves’ game on Veterans Day.

At a Veterans Day assembly on Friday, November 9th, Keller Elementary Students and staff honored veterans from our community and thanked them for their dedicated and loyal service to our country.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, November 19th from 1:00 – 8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 20th from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. If you would like to arrange a conference on either of those dates, please go to http://www.ptcfast.com/reg1.

This week, schools throughout the District will commemorate Veterans Day with special assemblies, patriotic programs, class projects and/or tributes to our military veterans.

The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released Keller’s annual School Report Card on Wednesday, Oct. 31st. The Report Card shows how well our school is progressing on a wide range of educational goals, including preparing all students for success in college and career.

You're invited to D140's Preschool Parent & Child Make-n-Take Literacy Night on Wednesday, November 7th at 6:30 pm at Bannes Elementary School.

Just a reminder ... Wednesday, October 31st is a START Day. Elementary schools will be dismissed at 12:30 pm and middle schools will be dismissed at 1:20 pm.

When we stand together, no one stands alone! Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange on Unity Day, Wednesday, October 24th, to show they care about safe and supportive schools and communities.
