Keller School offers a wide variety of clubs and activities designed to meet the needs and interests of our students. Detailed information regarding our specific program offerings will be sent home with students throughout the school year. Permission slips are required and parents are responsible for student transportation to or from before and after-school programs.

Band

In addition to our individual school activities, District 140 also provides 5th grade students with the opportunity to participate in our Beginning Band Program. This program is open to any 5th grader who expresses interest in learning to play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument and each member receives a 30 minute lesson at his/her home elementary school per week. Mr. Forlenza, Mr. Szczasny, and Mr. Hodges team-teach the Beginning Band program. For more information, please visit the KSD 140 Band section of our website at ksd140.org/band.

D140 Special Olympics Program:

D140’s Special Olympics program offers inclusive, year-round opportunities in sports training and competitions. Through these activities, participants build physical fitness, gain confidence, experience happiness, and form lasting connections with their peers, families, and community.

Our District program is open to qualifying students in fourth through eighth grades and includes a basketball skills and team program, an individual gymnastics skills program, and a track and field team.

If you are interested in learning more about D140's program, please visit the Special Olympics section of our website or contact our Special Olympic Coordinators, Ms. DeCarlo and Ms. Fricano, for details.
