On Saturday, February 12, Grissom and Prairie View band members participated in the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA) Solo & Ensemble Contest held at Liberty JHS in New Lenox.

Congratulations to District 140’s new Spelling Bee Champion James A. James, an eighth-grader from Prairie View correctly spelling the word "parole" and clinched the victory with “compassion”.

Show your school spirit! Student Council invites students and staff to participate in our Super Bowl themed days February 7 - 11.
Just a reminder ... Friday, February 4 is a Half-Day.
Due to weather, District 140 will remain closed on Thursday, February 3 and eLearning will continue for all students, teachers, and support staff.
Due to inclement weather, Wednesday, February 2 will be an eLearning Day for all students, teachers, and support staff. All students in PreK through eighth grade will learn remotely from 8 am until 1 pm.
Every home in the U.S. is eligible to order four at-home COVID-19 tests.
Over the upcoming weeks, D140 students, teachers, and parents will be given the opportunity to weigh in on school climate and learning conditions by taking the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey.
