As part of their National Fire Prevention Week campaign, our local fire departments visit KSD 140 elementary schools in September and October in order to educate our students about all aspects of fire safety and prevention. Their message includes "stop, drop, and roll" practice, the need for working smoke alarms, and escape planning and practice.
Last week, Tinley Park Fire Department personnel visited Keller Elementary EC through second grade students and gave them an overview of the fire truck equipment, firefighting protective clothing, and fire safety tips.
