As part of their National Fire Prevention Week campaign, our local fire departments visit KSD 140 elementary schools in September and October in order to educate our students about all aspects of fire safety and prevention. Their message includes "stop, drop, and roll" practice, the need for working smoke alarms, and escape planning and practice.
On Monday, September 11th, Tinley Park Fire Department personnel visited Keller Elementary and gave students an overview of the fire truck equipment, fire fighting protective clothing, and fire safety tips.
