Congratulations to KSD 140 band student Sophia C.! Sophia was one of eight flutists selected from the State of Illinois to perform with the All-Illinois Junior Band (AIJB) on Saturday, January 21. Students were chosen through a rigorous audition process.
The students rehearsed on Friday and Saturday under the direction of Dr. Kevin Girald, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Director of Bands. The performance was held at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Foellinger Auditorium.
Way to go, Sophia!
