Grissom Middle School students will have a new principal when the 2022-23 school year begins in August. Assistant Principal Michael Rumbaugh was selected to lead the school, taking over for Principal Deborah Broadwell, who is retiring at the end of June.
"I'm honored and humbled to have the opportunity to serve as Grissom‘s next principal,” stated Mr. Rumbaugh. “I am looking forward to working together with an amazing school community to provide the positive and supportive environment that our students deserve."
Mr. Rumbaugh holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Lewis University and a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University - Chicago. He is also a graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor's degree in History. Mr. Rumbaugh has been with District 140 for eleven years, serving as an Assistant Principal, Educational Technology Facilitator, Team Leader, Teacher, and Coach.
