Grissom’s eighth-grade girls’ and boys’ Track & Field teams took third place at the Southwest Interscholastic Conference (SWIC) meet held at Andrew High School on Saturday, May 14.
Other highlights from the meet included two first-place finishers. Nora D. in the high jump and our seventh-grade girls 800m relay team. The relay team members were Nora P., Emma R., Jillian O., and Bella R. Grissom also had two second-place winners in hurdles. Adelyn Z. for the seventh-grade girls and Meara B. for eighth-grade. There were also two second-place finishers for our eighth-grade boy's team. Judah V. for shot put and Andrew D. in the 200m dash.
Grissom's Track & Field athletes are coached by Ms. Cheryl LaPlant, Ms. Danielle Silzer, Ms. Katie Ryan, and Ms.Nicole Senkpeil.
