The Grissom girls' and boys' cross country teams performed very well at this year's Southwest Interscholastic Conference (SWIC) race. The girls took home a second place trophy, while the boys brought back the third place trophy.
Paige Swaw and Rylee Erickson lead the way for the girls, finishing in third and fourth place in the conference race. They were backed by strong finishes from Ava Sherry, Kaitlyn Gudyka, Maddie McGlynn, Grace McGlynn, and Grace Wood.
Kenny Carter lead the boys with a fifth place finish in the conference race. He was quickly followed by his teammates Jax Carter, Ryan Cahill, Noah Haglund, Vinny Shervino, Adam Villareal, and Evan Dickinson
The teams performed well in open races, as well. The girls finished in second place and the boys finished fifth.
