On Wednesday, March 14th, students across the nation will participate in voluntary 17-minute demonstrations supporting safe schools and student voice. In order to keep our students safe, we are NOT allowing students to leave the building. Instead, students with parent permission will be able to go into the gym for 17 minutes and participate in a moment of silence and activities supporting safe and positive learning environments We will have administrators and paraeducators supervising the gym to ensure that the students who wish to engage in this activity have the time, space and opportunity to do so, while also making sure that it does not disrupt the learning and instruction for those who choose not to participate. Students choosing not to participate will remain in their classrooms with their teachers.
