Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year! Wednesday, August 21st - Open House at Elementary Schools for K-5, Preschool and Early Childhood families from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22nd - Open House at Grissom and Prairie View Middle Schools from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Welcome! KSD 140 elementary principals and kindergarten teachers will meet with kindergarten students and their parents on Thursday, August 15th from 9-10 am at their respective elementary schools.
Grissom and Prairie View's Parent/Student Information Day will be held Wednesday, August 14th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

When the 2019-20 school year begins in August, students attending Millennium Elementary School will have a new principal. KSD 140 educator Juli Cosentino was selected to lead the school, taking over for retiring Principal Mary Jo Werbiansky.

Kirby School District 140 brought home nine awards from the annual South Cook Math Bowl held at Prairie State College on May 9th and May 10th. Quite a feat when you consider more than 200 contestants from almost 30 school districts competed each day in this awesome event.
Thirty-three students faced off on Monday, May 13th in Millennium Elementary's Battle of the Books, a quiz show type of competition meant to test literary knowledge.
On Friday, May 3rd, Millennium students were taken on a musical trip around the world learning about different cultures and traditions.
A Millennium fourth grader won gold in the 100 meter race at the Track & Field Special Olympics competition held at Thornwood High School on May 4th. He is one of five students from the District heading on to the state games at Illinois State University in June.
