Millennium Elementary School News

he Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released Kirby School District’s annual School Report Card on Wednesday, Oct. 30th. The Report Card shows how well our District is progressing on a wide range of educational goals, including preparing all students for success in high school and beyond.

Thursday, October 31st is a HALF DAY. Elementary schools will be dismissed at 11:10 a.m. and middle schools at 12:00 p.m.

Due to weather, the WGN Flyover event has been rescheduled to Friday, September 27th. Updated information will be coming home to families soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and are looking forward to celebrating with you on Friday, September 27th!

Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year! Wednesday, August 21st - Open House at Elementary Schools for K-5, Preschool and Early Childhood families from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22nd - Open House at Grissom and Prairie View Middle Schools from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Welcome! KSD 140 elementary principals and kindergarten teachers will meet with kindergarten students and their parents on Thursday, August 15th from 9-10 am at their respective elementary schools.

When the 2019-20 school year begins in August, students attending Millennium Elementary School will have a new principal. KSD 140 educator Juli Cosentino was selected to lead the school, taking over for retiring Principal Mary Jo Werbiansky.
