The D140 Board of Education approved a revised 2024-25 School Year Calendar at their June meeting.
Changes are indicated in bold below:
- The 2024-25 School Year begins with a Teacher Institute Day on Tuesday, August 20.
- The first day of student attendance for all grades is Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
- Winter Break will begin at the close of school on Friday, December 20, 2024 (Half-Day). Teachers will return for an Institute Day on Monday, January 6, 2025. Students will return on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
- Spring Break will begin at the close of school on Friday, March 21, 2025. Students and staff will return on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
- A Teacher Institute Day was added on Monday, April 21, 2025. No student attendance.
- If no emergency days are used, the last student attendance day will be a Half-Day on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
