The third grade classrooms participate in Learn Not to Burn activities once a month with Miss Betsy from the Orland Park Fire Department. Optional homework activities are given after each lesson. Those that complete all of these optional assignments are entered into a drawing where one student wins a ride in a fire truck to school. Adam Schmidt won the drawing this year. Congratulations Adam! Two Orland Park Firemen came to his house to spend some time visiting and sharing breakfast before Adam and his brother rode to school.
