Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year! Wednesday, August 21st - Open House at Elementary Schools for K-5, Preschool and Early Childhood families from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22nd - Open House at Grissom and Prairie View Middle Schools from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Welcome! KSD 140 elementary principals and kindergarten teachers will meet with kindergarten students and their parents on Thursday, August 15th from 9-10 am at their respective elementary schools.
Grissom and Prairie View's Parent/Student Information Day will be held Wednesday, August 14th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Our online Hot Lunch ordering system is now open and accepting orders for the first half of the 2019-2020 school year (August 28, 2019 - January 31, 2020). Orders are due by August 23rd.

The KSD 140 Board of Education approved a two-year plan for renovating Bannes Elementary School beginning this June.
D140 recently asked District families and employees to complete a three minute survey designed to gather information regarding their preferences for emergency closure make up days and a possible late start option.

As the school year draws to a close, we bid farewell to an outstanding group of fifth grade students.
Kirby School District 140 brought home nine awards from the annual South Cook Math Bowl held at Prairie State College on May 9th and May 10th. Quite a feat when you consider more than 200 contestants from almost 30 school districts competed each day in this awesome event.
