KSD 140 welcomes Anthony Silic to its administrative team as the new Operations Coordinator. He will lead D140’s Operations, Maintenance, and Transportation departments and oversee the buildings, grounds, systems, equipment, and busing needs of the District.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to join D140’s administrative team as the new Operations Coordinator,” stated Mr. Silic. “I look forward to linking my prior construction experience with my current education career to serve students, staff, and the D140 community.”
Mr. Silic holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in Academic Leadership from the American College of Education. He has been with the District for more than nine years serving as a paraeducator, substitute teacher, classroom teacher, and Instructional Technology Facilitator. Prior to working in D140, Mr. Silic was a Union Carpenter for Local 272 for 13 years, with experience in project and personnel management. He has extensive knowledge of construction, systems, equipment, and materials.
