D140 fourth and fifth-grade athletes hit the track for an afternoon of friendly competition at the District's annual track meet held on Thursday, May 25, at Andrew High School.
Students participated in a number of traditional track & field events, including the softball throw, long jump, and the 400m, 200m, 100m, 60m, 4X100m, individual and relay events. The full 1/4-mile track with lane markings, starter pistol starts, timing, and cheering crowds enhanced the elementary track experience.
