On Thursday, November 11, fourth-grader Lukas B. was awarded a ride to school aboard a Tinley Park fire truck for his winning submission in the city-wide contest.
As part of National Fire Prevention Week, the Tinley Park Fire Department holds a poster contest each fall and invites students to depict their version of what it takes to be safe and smart in the case of a fire. This year’s theme was "Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety."
