Six teams of third, fourth and fifth grade students recently faced off in the annual Bannes Bluestem Battle of the Books, a quiz show type of competition meant to test literary knowledge. At the event, librarians from the Tinley Park Public Library asked questions relating to the content of this year's twenty Bluestem nominated novels. Competition was fierce, but the battle was won by Team 4 featuring Evelyn, Alexis, Gloria, Shukri, Carter, and Drew. These students will move on and compete in the District Battle of the Books on May 18th.
All teams came prepared to win and deserve recognition. Congratulations to all our participants on a job well done!
