Bannes School was on a soft lockdown for approximately 15 minutes earlier today because the Tinley Park Police Department alerted us that another law enforcement agency was serving a warrant in the Bannes area. During a soft lockdown, students are free to move about the building, but are not allowed outside for gym or recess. At no time were any students or staff in any danger. We are sharing this information with you so, if your child mentions the lockdown, you will understand the circumstances.
