At the Bannes Veterans Day Celebration on Friday, November 10th, students and staff honored veterans and thanked them for their dedicated and loyal service to our country. Over 60 veterans from the Bannes community attended, including veterans from World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and Operation Enduring Freedom. The celebration featured grades K thru 5 singing various patriotic songs, a 5th grade student, Thano Fefles, narrating a book that was made into a video entitled “The Wall”, and the performing and playing of “Taps” by the 5th grade students, Mrs. Elaine Hartmann, and Mr. Michael Szczasny. The program was under the direction of music teacher, Mr. John Conley.
