Congratulations to another Bannes’ Fire Prevention Poster Contest winner! On Monday, November 6th, a Bannes Elementary third grader from Ms. Lawrence’s class was awarded a ride to school aboard a Tinley Park fire truck for his winning submission in the city-wide contest.
As part of National Fire Prevention Week, the Tinley Park Fire Department holds a poster contest each fall and invites students to depict their version of what it takes to be safe and smart in the case of a fire. This year’s theme was Every Second Counts … Plan Two Ways Out!, emphasizing the need for escape planning and practice.
