From the Principal
On behalf of the Grissom Staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2008 – 2009 school year. The following information will provide parents, students, and staff with a great beginning.
Emergency Information should be current with revisions sent to the school during the year, if necessary.
School supplies and clothing can be returned to the owner if there appears to be a name on the article. We have experienced an unusual amount of unclaimed and unmarked clothing, shoes, and supplies in the past years.
Cell phones are not permitted during the school day or at any school sponsored activity. Parents must come to school to pick up any cell phone that is turned in to an administrator.
Yearbook orders will be accepted until October 6, 2008. On line orders and phone orders are due December 8th to Herff-Jones @ 1-866-287-3096 or www.yearbookordercenter.com Order #8034 (reference) Please take a few minutes to take care of this business so your student is not disappointed in June.
Our PTO is generous with support to our school. Please join this worthy organization for $5.00 and volunteer for at least one activity during the school year. The PTO provides each student with an Assignment/Information Book. For the past two years, a $3,000 donation has been made to our media center. More information on how fundraising money is spent is in the packet received in August.
Student ID Badges will be given to all students. There is a bar code on the badge to be used for book check-out in the media center. Students will be required to present the badge, on request, during school and at all school sponsored events. ID’s are not required at Grissom dances.
