The Helen Keller PTO is dedicated to making our school the very best it can be. During the year, the PTO sponsors a variety of assemblies and other activities that help enrich the school day. Moneys for these programs are raised through Market Day and other fund raisers during the year.

P.T.O. Meetings for 2007 - 2008 School Year

Please support Helen Keller School through our upcoming fundraisers. Last year we were able to sponsor four assemblies for our students, an ice skating party, pizza lunches with our Principal, Springfest, Christmas stockings and cookies, assignment notebooks, and much more. All of this was possible thanks to the generosity of parents.

Information will soon be sent home with your child regarding the Innisbrook gift wrap fundraiser. This has historically been our most successful fundraiser. We count on your generosity to fund many activities for the children. We will also be sponsoring a book fair at the open house. Stop by and pick out a new book! The profit will be put towards books to be used by all the Keller students.

Please remember, everyone is very welcome to attend our PTO meetings. We appreciate the help we have received from so many great volunteers and we look forward to meeting new parents. The dates and times of our meetings will be posted on the monthly school calendars that your child will bring home. We're looking forward to a great year!


Goals
To provide teachers with supplemental instructional activities, assemblies and educational equipment.

• The P.T.O. will provide student assemblies and educational equipment or teachers to enhance the curriculum. The activities will coordinate with the Helen Keller School Goals.
• The P.T.O. will sponsor fundraisers to assist in payment with reaching this goal. Example of fundraisers are: Market Day, wrapping paper and candy sales.

• The P.T.O. is committed to improving communication through newsletters, meetings and social activities. The P.T.O. will assist with Parent Information Day, Helen Keller Open House, D.A.R.E. Graduation and the end of the year school activities.
• The P.T.O. may take advantage of the District Beautification Matching Funds Program.
